'OPEN SPACE' SET TO KICK OFF IN CALABAR THIS NOVEMBER,2016.

Open Space is a new mentoring program designed to kick start the careers of the creative minds who will go on to influence the performance arts of tomorrow. According to the organizers, the James Ene Henshaw Foundation, the program which is also supported by the British Council is a mentoring opportunity for young creative minds to meet with industry professionals and learn skills and strategies to take their career to the next level. The trainings will cover aspect of idea formulation, packaging, branding and marketing and aims to provide performing art startups with the necessary skills to establish a business, run it and make profit from it. A call for submissions will soon be out for the first round of projects in November, 2016.Ideas may be in any art form from plays, dance, performance, Poetry to short films. Successful candidates get to work with established industry professionals, receive N50, 000 and funds towards production costs, plus N50, 000 to the bes

On Friday, 23rd September, members of the Carnival Commission and Events Management Department, Governors office and the Carnival Calabar marketing consultant, Ockma LTD. took a tour of the muster and adjudication points for the #CarnivalCalabar2016... A lot of surprises await the tourists,visitors and viewers who will watch the carnival Live on DSTV from all over the world this year. The organisers have asked us to keep our mouth shuts on a BIG surprise until they are ready to spill the beans. CALABAR PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CALABASH COMING IN NOVEMBER.

Hello friends, WEESHOTIT is pleased to announce her most recent collaboration with one of the world's biggest organisations BRITISH COUNCIL on her next project CALABAR PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CALABASH. The two day event involves a photowalk, painting sessions, performances and art exhibitions amongst others. So we will break the full event down. Remember its a two day event but comprises of four mini events. One is the CALABAR PHOTO WALK. Two is GET DIRTY . . Three is Calabar Photography and Art Exhibition . . .
