CROSS RIVER ON THE PATH OF CONTINUITY...WINNER TAKES ALL...

Friday, 20th February, 2015 will mark a significant day in the history of Cross River. Once again the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has just concluded a statewide tour which started from the northern senatorial district, the zone that will produce the next Governor of the state and climaxed in the south.

It is significant because this is a party that has been in power since 1999 and by all analysis and 'words from the streets' the party is poised in 2015 to win again at the polls based on online and offline support for the governorship candidate and other national and state assembly positions.

As the major state wide campaigns end today, i find it necessary to appreciate some certain groups who may or may not be remembered not long after now but i want to believe that history will be kind to all of us by his Grace.i have met a couple of people in recent times who do not care about the elections.Surprisingly some people picked up their PVC's as a decoration in their wallets. And when i ask they say there is no need to vote because whether they vote or not PDP will win.

Most people say this because they think elections in Nigeria are won only through dubious means but been an observer in the last elections the candidates that won would have done so even if they conducted the elections a 100 times. But that is not the real reason they keep on winning...I will tell you how....

Hard work!!!#Simple.....I had the opportunity to volunteer in the rally that held on friday at the calabar municipal council grounds and His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of CRS made an interesting comment and i quote 'We are not saying that PDP is unbeatable but we have worked so hard, any party that aims to beat us will have to work harder' Now that is the reality of the situation. An open strategy for other parties to adopt but it is a wonder that as much as they try, their message is not strong enough to reach the people. The PDP machine is obviously very calculated and clear about their objectives in CRS.And in 2015 no one is been spared....The Winner takes all....

But this impending victory cannot be complete without the individuals and groups who flooded the rally grounds today to cheer their leaders and most importantly participate in several ways,From the dancers to the trumpeters,to the paparazzi,security,flags/banner carriers and many others adorning colorful shirts and caps,i could not help but remember those at home who could not be part of this.We are all together,we can meet at one point, the decision making arena, the #PollingUnits where our #PVC's,our votes, our power and our rights will be exercised.

Think of those who have danced in the rain, soaked in the sun, traveled at night and sacrificed their time for the sake of democracy.Think of them as the messengers who only need you to get up and make that decision to vote today. We need you, Nigeria needs you, Cross River needs you. Its #PVCTime. This change can only start from you.

Enjoy the pics....Its just the gospel truth...
