NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS PRESENTS BOOK TO MRS LIYEL IMOKE
 Renowned Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, yesterday, in Calabar, presented her Pictorial autobiography titled ‘Kate Henshaw: The World of an Actress, My Story’ to the wife of Cross River State Governor, Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke.
Making the presentation, Kate Henshaw stated that the 360-paged book is her contribution to the efforts to support certain charities by donating part of the proceeds from the sale of the book to these charities.
She stated that her visit to and consequent presentation of the book to Mrs. Liyel-Imoke is to solicit for her endorsement of the book and through this increase the sale towards raising funds for the less privileged especially little Miss. Kiki whom she said was born without a skull and presently on admission at Johns Hopkins Hospital in United States of America.
While commending Mrs. Imoke for her humanitarian projects which have touched the lives of many women and children, the actress who hails from Cross River intimated that her book is a pictorial documentation of her personal life as well as her Journey in Nollywood.
Kate Henshaw, an Ambassador for "Project Alert on Violence against women" also supports “Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care” which is behind the coordinated support for the child without a skull. Kate who disclosed that she was a one time columnist for vanguard Newspaper and loves keeping memories, a virtue she said she inherited from her mother, said she also supports cervical cancer patients.
She said the book is currently on sale in the open market adding that Part of the sales proceeds would be donated to charity.
While receiving the actress in her office, Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke described Kate Henshaw as a daughter of the soil, a special person and a timeless actress who could play any role in acting. She commended her efforts in documenting her achievements in a book form and also for assisting in Kiki’s medical treatment and promised to do anything within her limit cher.
She therefore urged the public to contribute to Kate’s humanitarian gesture by buying a copy of the book.
Mrs. Imoke also used the opportunity to commend the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan for her intervention on Cervical Cancer and intimated that she recently represented the First Lady in United States in a forum on cervical cancer. Presently, she is the spokesperson for the First Lady on cervical cancer .
